Elk Solutions is a compact architecture studio for organizations that want control over data, documents and applications.

I design and build solutions that are controllable and manageable — from source model to APIs, workflows, document generation and validation. So you don't get stuck with loose tools, manual work and error-prone handovers, but get one chain that works.

About Me

I'm Siebe Jongebloed — software architect and builder.
I love systems that don't just "work", but also make sense: clearly designed, easy to explain, and with quality you can monitor.

How I Work

I start with your chain, not with "the technology":

Where does the truth come from? (source data, structure, definitions)
Where do things go wrong? (validation, exceptions, edges of the process)
What needs to be enforceable? (rules, checks, traceability)

Then we build step by step:

a consistent foundation (model/structure as "source of truth")
automation of the chain (APIs, workflows, document output)
validation and quality thresholds (so "approximately right" isn't possible)
manageability (logging, reproducibility, clear boundaries)

AI fits in there for me when it can also be professional: AI in production with sources as truth (RAG), evaluation/quality gates and audit trail — so AI becomes a reliable link and not a black box.

Sometimes I build something because I can — and because I already had the framework for it. An example is rankedworkouts.com: a site that collects Concept2 performances over decades and makes them searchable.

The site has been running in production for years and automatically retrieves new logbook records daily that are added to the index.

When Elk Solutions Is a Good Fit

Elk Solutions fits well if you:

have complexity in data/documents/processes and want control over it
get stuck on validation, structure, exceptions or chain agreements
want speed, but not at the expense of control and quality
want to use AI, but only if it can be measurable and manageable

Less suitable if you mainly need a large team that can start with 6 developers tomorrow.
